Pastor Vincent Rutledge

Reverend Vincent Rutledge is driven by a singular mission: to bring the message of salvation through Jesus Christ to all. With a rich background that includes 20 years of service in the U.S. Army (retiring in 1996), Reverend Rutledge brings discipline, dedication, and a deep sense of purpose to his ministry.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Reverend Rutledge’s spiritual journey led him to Columbia, SC. He formally accepted his call to ministry in 2006, progressing to licensure in 2007 and ordination in 2014. His commitment to theological growth is evident in his continued studies and involvement in Christian education.

Currently, Reverend Rutledge serves as the esteemed Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Blythewood, SC. In this role, he passionately leads worship, teaches adult Sunday School, and shepherds the congregation with wisdom and grace. He also served as Interim Pastor for over a year before accepting the permanent call.

At home, Reverend Rutledge is a beloved husband to Almeta Spencer Rutledge, and a devoted father and grandfather to their large family. His life exemplifies his unwavering belief in the transformative power of faith and his heartfelt desire for all to experience the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
