Pastor Reverend Vincent Rutledge

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Rev. Rutledge arrived in Columbia, South Carolina after retiring from the U.S. Army in 1996. He has been a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church since 2018, previously serving at Mt. Moriah M.B.C. from 1995 and holding various ministry positions. Answering his calling in 2006, Rev. Rutledge became licensed under Rev. Dr. A.D. Robinson and was ordained in 2014. He has pursued religious studies at Liberty University and the National Congress of Christian Education, and is currently a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Association. Rev. Rutledge serves as Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, having also served as Interim Pastor from 2020 to 2021. He is an active member of the church community, leading adult Sunday School classes and worship services. Married to Almeta Spencer Rutledge, they have a son, three daughters, two son-in-laws, a daughter-in-law, and five grandchildren. Rev. Rutledge’s greatest desire is to share his faith and see others come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. He is a devoted follower of Christ and passionate about sharing his beliefs.
